Sunil brings with him over 17 years of high-caliber experience in Business Development, Project Portfolio Management and Project Management. His work in diverse industry segments spanning from submarine building, oil & gas, shipyard development, shipbuilding to industrial gases has enriched his experience with the best practices of these segments. Apart from the above, he specializes in process mapping, establishment and standardization of systems and procedures, optimization techniques, soft skills and project management training.

Before founding Aspiro, he was working for Praxair, a US based Fortune-300 Company into Industrial Gases, as Project Business Lead – Small Onsite Plants, India & Middle East regions. He was responsible for managing the pre-sales backend and to oversee the execution of portfolio of projects in his business segment.
Prior to his stint at Praxair, Sunil has worked for Larsen & Toubro and Maytas Infra (Satyam Construction). At Maytas he headed the Business Development team in the Refineries & Petrochemicals segment for South India and was instrumental in establishing and standardizing the process for Business Development and Tendering. In his 6-year long tenure at L&T, he has managed a significant part of the multi-million dollar strategic marine defense program – INS Arihant (India’s first indigenously constructed nuclear submarine) that involved activities ranging from detailed design and hi-precision machining to fabrication and alignment of mega metallic structures. During the later part of his spell at L&T, he was responsible for setting up of the state-of-the-art production machinery at their shipyard at Kattupalli (Chennai) including the capacity planning, procurement and training of operators. He also led a corporate level team to enhance the employee engagement.
Sunil has also been deeply associated with the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA on voluntary roles. He was one of the Senior Champions at the PMI India Champion Program that was aimed at advocacy of ideal PM practices across the industry. During this stint he has organized and conducted multiple 2 to 4-day sessions on Project Management ideal practices.
He is also inclined towards social work and has been an active part of Rotary for last 4 years. He currently leads the Rotary Club of Bangalore Kalyan as the President.
He is also a member of PMI and a life member of All India Management Association.
